Preparing for Your Appointment
In preparation for your appointment, we ask that you do the following:
- Write down in advance any questions you may have for the doctor or nurse practitioner.
- Bring a list of current medications you are taking, or bring the prescription bottles with you so we can accurately document these for our records.
- It is helpful for us to have a copy of your medical records from your previous OB/GYN physician, particularly if you have had any significant medical problems or surgery in the past. Please contact that physician's office to have your records sent to us prior to your scheduled appointment.
- On the day of your visit please arrive a few minutes early, and bring your insurance card and completed registration and medical history form with you.
Pelvic or OB Ultrasound Appointment Instructions
- Very Important!!! One hour before your scheduled time, drink 32 ounces of water if not pregnant, 16 ounces if pregnant, and do not empty your bladder. The ultrasound cannot be completed without a full bladder.
- A written report will be sent to your Doctor. It is not necessary to call our office for the report. Your Doctor will have a report for you at your next visit.
- If you are having an obstetrical ultrasound, we may be able to determine the sex of your child. If you would like to know this information, please tell us. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of sex determination by ultrasound.
- Please arrive ten (10) minutes prior to your appointment time. If you are ten minutes late, it will be necessary to reschedule. Please park in the back of building E and enter through the back door.
- You are welcome to bring up to three (3) guests with you to your ultrasound appointment. Small children must be supervised or it may be necessary to reschedule the appointment.
If you find that you cannot keep your appointment, kindly notify us as soon as possible. This courtesy allows us to provide care for another patient.
We look forward to caring for you!
